We are learning to understand who and what is Matariki? On this poster we had to gather all the information we had learned from our previous research and had to put all of our knowledge into this piece of work. How I felt when doing this work was interesting considering that we had celebrated this for many years and we had only known a bit of Matariki. We had learned lots this year about Matariki and it is very interesting how not only us but other people celebrate it.
Matariki Activities (Report)
We are learning to understand how our ancestors used the environment, During this report I had to pick a favourite activity from all the activities we had done on Monday July 17th for Matariki. Each activity was fun in their own ways and each activity was different. How I felt when I was doing these activities is happy and confused cause we thought we were going to start school with work on Matariki and ended up doing these activities.

We are learning to use different shortcuts on google drawing. We were learning about how to create a Matariki design, When I was working on this I was interested in how you can make an art piece by just using lines. For this work we had to use poly lines to create an art that is supposed to be Matariki stars with mountains. After doing the mountains we had to make a duplicate of the first mountain and flip each mountain horizontally and vertically. We also add extra detail so it would keep the google drawing interesting by adding stars to represent the Matariki star cluster and adding a cultural sun also a bright colourful background.

Kia Ora, today I was learning about how to make a custard-stuffed danish apples. I was learning about this because apples are a fruit at my school. My favourite part of doing this work was finding the work because I got to learn more recipes on apples. My next steps are doing more research and data then analyzing it.

Matariki returns web diagram
Talofa lava, everyone today I was learning about a Matariki web diagram. For the web diagram we had to read a story of each paragraph then do a summarize and two interesting quotes. It is important to learn about this web diagram because it tells you a lot of facts about Matariki. My favourite part about doing this work was getting the data from the book then analyzing it. In the future i would like to do more collecting data and analyzing.
Matariki word wall
Kia Ora, today I was learning about a Matariki word wall for the Matariki word wall we had to write words that resembles Matariki. It is important to learn about Matariki because it is a tradition to New Zealand. My favourite part about this work is finding the words and putting them on the Google draw.
